This week, Maria shares with us a few of her favorite fashionistas and fashion bloggers that she’ll be following the next few weeks leading up to the 2015 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City next month!
In honor of fashion week coming up, I’m going to share with you a quick list of my favorite bloggers, most of whom are likely to be sitting front row at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week come next month. These bloggers inspire me daily, whether it’s from their blogs, Instagram feed, Facebook, or featured articles recognizing them on different media outlets.
Nicole Warne, Gary Pepper Girl
Nicole Warne, Australian born, but jet setter at heart, is most recently featured on the cover of Lucky Magazine February 2015 issue alongside two fellow bloggers. Nicole’s style reminds me of a modern day Audrey Hepburn with a whimsical twist. She rarely shies away from color which makes for beautiful editorials. My personal style is closest to Nicole’s; we both love feminine silhouettes, bold print dresses, and a bright lipstick. I also find her to be a creative genius, which is easy to see when browsing her blog or Instagram feed, in the way that she mixes her fashion sense with her travels.
Olivia Palermo is the ultimate socialite. She is beautiful, savvy, and accessible. She is well known for expertly mixing patterns as well high end with low end garments. Olivia is my favorite NYC based fashionista; she makes mixing classics with trends look like a breeze.
Olivia’s collaboration with Aquazzura is one of my favorite projects she did in 2014. The shoe line was a beautifully designed success. She is also a permanent stylist for Piperlime, which is one of my go-to places for the latest trends.
Aimee Song is an ultra-chic California girl with laid-back style. She is effortlessly cool and is rarely seen in a dress. Aimee’s style is the perfect weekend go-to for anyone who loves neutrals and thinks less is more. She has recently launched a statement fashion line for women.
Camila Coelho from Super Vaidosa is a Boston based Brazilian blogger. I originally started following her English and Portuguese YouTube channels for makeup and beauty tips. She is currently on the cover of Women’s Health Brazil and featured in Elle Brazil. While Camila’s blog has now expanded to covering fashion, she is still primarily a beauty blogger. She has her own nail polish collection and accessories collaboration with Ludora Boutique. She is a great blogger to follow for glamorous hair and makeup looks, and product reviews. The videos on her YouTube channel are easy to follow for recreating looks.
The Sartorialist is every fashion addict’s favorite blog, whether you’re a styling pro or simply looking for some outfit ideas. This blog is co-ed, trendy, and does street style the best. Photographs on this site are taken all over the world of people wearing all sorts of inspiring and unique outfits. This blog is a great tool for those learning how to layer, mix and match, and stand out. This blog is a great site to visit if you aren’t within walking distance of Lincoln Center, but are interested in seeing what people are wearing to attend the shows at upcoming fashion week next month!
