Located in the Lithuanian city of Marijampolė, a new mural has left many onlookers confused at first glance. New York-based artist, Ray Bartkus, painted his latest work the wrong way up on a building next to a community lake. Viewers have to look at the mural’s reflection on the lake in order to see the figures of the painting seated on the surface of the water the right way up. Clever, playful, and fitting for the season, Bartkus’s mural is quickly gaining world-wide attention, inspiring everyone from creatives in NYC to locals who have stumbled upon it at random.
