At Village Print & Media, we continuously make an effort to express our gratitude to our clients by giving back through Village Gold. We want to help ensure that NYC is fully prepared for the madness that is about to ensue next week during New York Fashion Week. Therefore, each week during our fashion campaign we’ll be giving away Sephora gift cards and our custom Fashion Emergency Travel Kits, fully stocked with all the essentials for your last minute needs. Finally, on March 13, we’ll be giving away a $300 Amex Shopping Spree, because, let’s face it—what fashionista wouldn’t want a little extra gold?
In addition, we wanted to incorporate a giveaway that reflects upon our love for NYC, and our appreciation for design and creativity. Recently, we heard through the grape vine about a new company that pays homage to the city through its products which echo a humor that is more than fitting to its NYC roots. Naturally, we’re now obsessed with them.
Prize Pins is a Brooklyn based company that creates lapel pins with a new take on the classic medium through their focus on design, humor, and style. Launching less than a year ago in 2014 by friends Luke Flynn and Kym Naimo, they quickly gained popularity through social media and word of mouth. Their latest collections include collaborations with various artists from around the world. Prize Pins’ unique and quirky take on this vintage product has resonated not only amongst Brooklynites and New Yorkers, but also with cultures across the world in countries such as Australia and Japan.
Each collection is creative and crafted impeccably. But, the very first collection —a variety of pins that pay homage to New York City and its people—is the one that we love the most and want to share with you. Therefore, we’ll be giving away a Prize Pin from this collection in each week’s Village Gold giveaway.
