While a weekend getaway up to Montauk or down to Florida always sounds like a good idea, the thought of sitting in hours of traffic or dealing with incredibly long, irritating lines at the airport just doesn’t seem worth it. This year, we’re opting to either take a ferry ride over to Governors Island to lounge in a hammock all day, or chill on a rooftop with friends overlooking one of the greatest sights in the world—Manhattan’s cityscape.
