It’s almost time for fall layers, scarves, and sweaters. Not many of us here at VPM are sad to see the humid days go, but there are a few summer clothing staples we’d like to hold on to for a bit longer. Below is an example of how to wear your favorite whites throughout Labor Day weekend and into the fall.
For women: I love an off-white high waist trouser. This is the perfect base for a beautiful silk blouse and a sleek sling-back heel. Since your base is a cool color, your layers should be simple and refined — look for blouses with detail so that you can keep your accessories to a minimum.
Things to try: a white coat
For men: Corduroy pants are not just for kids. Pair your cords with a suede or moleskin blazer and a brown loafer. Keep in mind the colors found in nature when accessorizing — browns will work best.
Things to try: an off-white scarf
Happy layering!
