There’s nothing we love more than a strong, captivating opening title sequence.

As we’ve mentioned before, Saul Bass, one of our favorite motion graphic designers and Academy Award- winning filmmaker, put it best when he said, “My initial thoughts about what a title can do was to set mood and the prime underlying core of the film’s story, to express the story in some metaphorical way. I saw the title as a way of conditioning the audience, so that when the film actually began, viewers would already have an emotional resonance with it.”

Today, it seems as though opening title sequences are becoming the stars of some of the best tv series and movies in their own respect. There’s no denying how well an opening has been crafted after watching the piece 10-12 times, and yet it still leaves as profound of an impression on you as it did at its introduction. Therefore, without further ado…
